Junior Club Program

Tennis For Life

TFL pathway is a rally based program that utilizes the concept of exploring the game through holistic means in order to successfully lay the proper foundation for a future of lifetime success. These new tools help to create the most appropriate learning environment and encourage children to progress in a way that is appropriate for their individual development. Each session addresses the individual’s development in the following areas: Technical, Tactical, Mental, Social and Athletic training. Through this process we will emphasize on building fundamental athletic skills that can be applied to any sport.

Mini Explorers

Classes are led by a dynamic instructor who takes both parents and children on amazing adventures that aid in developing the fundamental athletic base needed to be successful in any sport. This class is run in an optional "Parent and Me" tennis format, which means parents or guardians have the option to participate in the class!

Club Red

Club Red is designed for beginner players ages 5-7. This class focuses on building physical skills (agility, balance, coordination and speed) while teaching the fundamentals necessary to serve, rally and score using a rally/game based curriculum. Coaching is focused on developing sending and receiving skills, sound footwork and racquet mechanics. Prior to moving to the next level, the player will be able to demonstrate an underhand serve from a 36' court to the correct side of the court consistently, an overhead serve from the 27' court, short rally with a partner with a simple recovery between shots, direct the ball away from an opponent and keep score (7 points).

Club Orange

Club Orange is designed for beginner to intermediate level players ages 8-10. Club Orange focuses on building the athletic skills required by the sport while also teaching the fundamentals necessary to serve, rally and score using a rally/game based curriculum. The coaching is focused on developing sending and receiving skills, sound footwork and racquet mechanics. Prior to moving to the next level, the player will be able to demonstrate an overhead serve to the correct side of the court consistently, short rally with a partner with a simple recovery between shots, direct the ball away from an opponent and keep score.

Club Green

Club Green is designed for beginner to intermediate level players ages 10-12. This class is designed to continue building an athletic base while teaching the fundamentals necessary to serve, rally and score using a rally/game based curriculum. Coaching is focused on developing sending and receiving skills, sound footwork and racquet mechanics. Club Teen Green

Teen Green is designed for beginner to advanced beginner players ages 13-17. This class is designed to for teenagers who are new to tennis. Players in this level will learn the fundamentals necessary to serve, rally and score using a rally/game based curriculum. Club Teen Green focuses on developing sending and receiving skills, sound footwork and racquet mechanics.

Club JV Yellow

Club JV Yellow is designed for intermediate level players ages 13-17. This class is designed to continue building an athletic base while teaching the fundamentals necessary to serve, rally and score using a rally/game based curriculum. JV Yellow focuses on developing sending and receiving skills, sound footwork and racquet mechanics. Players learn how to properly position themselves to execute ground strokes and volleys with purpose.  Most participants play in tournaments, Junior Team Tennis and interscholastic competition.

Club Varsity Yellow

Club Varsity Yellow is designed for intermediate to advanced level players ages 13-17. This group is fundamentally sound in both movement and technique and are beginning to work on more advanced patterns of play. Varsity Yellow focuses on stroke development and tactics for singles and doubles. Most participants play in tournaments, Junior Team Tennis and interscholastic competition.

Match Play

During Match Play, students will be set up with singles and doubles matches in a fun competitive environment.  This is the perfect opportunity to bring it all together and showcase students’ newly learned skills while working on strategy and tactics of the game.

Sanctioned/ non-sanctioned tournaments held throughout the year.

Drill & Play

Drill & Play offers the perfect blend of drilling combined with practice play. This program is designed for Jr. Varsity and Varsity players to work on their skills and tactical development in a fun, yet competitive atmosphere.
