Pickleball in Orchard Park NY

South Towns is a pickleball club in Orchard Park NY offering cushioned indoor courts, lessons, clinics, open play, and reservable court time. Membership and non-member access are both available.

We run year-round, so Southtowns players keep a consistent schedule through the winter. Our second location, Village Glen, serves Williamsville and the Northtowns.

What South Towns Offers Orchard Park Players

Pickleball grew faster than the facilities built to house it, which is why so much local play happens on converted surfaces and shared gym floors. We built dedicated indoor capacity instead.

  • Cushioned indoor courts — engineered shock absorption under every playing surface
  • Year-round availability with no weather closures
  • Dedicated pickleball coaching, not tennis coaching adapted to the sport
  • Lessons and clinics across all levels
  • Open play with rotating partners at every skill level
  • Reservable court time for members and non-members
  • On-site pro shop for paddles, grips, and equipment — Pro Shop

Why Our Courts Are Cushioned

Pickleball keeps you in a small box with constant lateral movement and short, sharp stops. A rigid surface returns the force of every one of those stops straight back through the ankle, knee, and hip. Manageable for one session. Punishing across a winter of playing three times a week, which is the pace most players settle into once the game takes hold.

We have seen firsthand what the surface decides. Pickleball draws a wide age range, and the players getting the most out of a full Orchard Park winter are often the ones a hard court would have sidelined by February.

Pickleball Programs at South Towns

We run programming for every level, from first paddle through league play:

Open Play and How It Works

Open play is where most new players find their footing. Games run with rotating partners, so you play a range of opponents in a single session rather than repeating the same matchup.

Beginners are welcome. Players who take a lesson or two first tend to enjoy those early sessions more, because the serve rules and the non-volley zone are already familiar and the focus stays on playing rather than pausing to check the rules.

Membership

Membership makes sense once pickleball becomes a weekly habit. Members get priority booking windows, reduced court rates, reduced program pricing, and access across both pickleball and tennis.

Non-members are welcome too — court time, open play, and most programs are open to the public subject to availability.

Our Coaching Staff

Pickleball instruction has a short history compared to tennis, and coaching quality varies widely because of it. Our South Towns pickleball pro teaches on a defined curriculum, so players progress on a predictable path instead of collecting contradictory advice session to session.
